Connecting with students on Along is easy! Watch these videos to see how teachers send reflection questions and how students respond.
First, teachers record a question for their students:
Then, students view and respond to their teacher with their own response:
When students receive a new question, they will automatically get an email to check out their new question on Along. Students will be directed to answer their most recent open question first.
Once they review their teacher’s question, students will be prompted to respond through video, audio, text, or choosing the multiple choice answer that relates best to them.
For video or audio messages, the student will need to grant Along permission to access their camera and/or microphone.
Your student is now ready to record! Once they are done recording their message, they can click Stop to review their recording, and see what it will look like on the student side. Once they are ready to send it off, they can click Send.
Students can see if they have any additional questions that need their attention by clicking Home or navigating to any of their classes. Once the student has responded, the question will move to Older Questions so students can clearly see which questions they need to respond to and which ones they’ve already answered.
When the student receives a reply, they will receive an email and can look out for another email once they receive a new question.
