How do I send my student a question?

Once you select a question from our Library or a custom question of your own, you can follow these steps to send your chosen to your student(s):

  1. Click on Library.
  2. You can search for a question with our Library search bar. You can also click Write your own question, View favorites (if you have any saved), or scroll down the webpage to see more questions.

  3. After clicking a question, you'll see tips on when and how to use the question. Once you've found the right question for your student(s), click Pick this question.



  4. Once you select a question, you'll see the recording screen, as well as suggested talking points on the right-hand side that you can edit to build an outline for what you would like to talk about. If you wish to edit your question, select the pencil icon on the question preview.

    • You can choose between a text answer, video, or audio recording. Recording a video or audio will help you better engage your student(s) and give them additional context about the prompt.
      • If you do not want to share a response, click Skip at the bottom.
    • If you record a video or audio:
      • Make sure you give permissions in your browser to grant Along access to your camera and/or microphone and start recording.
      • You can also choose a fun overlay to add to your video (available only for the Chrome browser on a desktop)
  5. After you are done making changes, click Next.
  6. You can view a preview of your question, and add an optional note.
    • When you select the students you would like to send the question to the text box background, your profile picture, and the Along icon will be highlighted.

  7. On the left-hand side, select which students you would like to send the question to.
  8. Choose to either Send now or Schedule.

Your question has been sent to your selected student(s)! You can copy the direct link to share the question with your students.
